Shhh, It's Trying To Tell Me Something.

Staying Optimistic!
September 27, 2009 at 11:17 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
(Whoa, I haven't talked about DFO in a while! O_o)
My brothers and I are taking our time leveling... We've been grouping up ever since level 20-ish, so we get less EXP than those who solo. (The grind from level 23-24 and 26-27 was just... horrible. We were farming Dragon's Nest and Floating Castle for those levels.)
And we hit level 31 as of today! 8D
Trying out something new as our mains: Berserker, Nen Master, and Witch (me, Chris, and Joshua respectively) instead of Battle Mage, Asura, and Spitfire. (They'll be our alts now, haha.)
The grind eases up a little once you get to Behemoth, but still... X_x
Here's to hoping that the full release comes tomorrow... And that they fix the EXP gain and GSD. And bring back the Mentor system.
EDIT: Annnd~ Nothing got fixed! Yet! D:
DFO Early Access Beta Coming Soon~!
September 8, 2009 at 07:35 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
Huh, just when I was about to get bored (as well as having nothing to blog about for the past week)...
So, Early Access Beta for DFO starts on September 15. The offical launch, according to people who have attended PAX, is on September 22.
How do you get into Early Access Beta? By getting a key, of course. GameSpot is apparently giving away 50000 beta keys. (Man, that's a lot! O_o)
And yes, Closed Beta testers also receive an e-mail containing 5 beta keys to distribute; Joshua and I just got ours. (And we're automatically in the EAB, whoo!)
We're saving 1 key for Chris since he didn't apply for CBT, so that means we have 9 keys to give out. I... know no one ever comments here, but if you want a beta key for DFO, feel free to leave a comment with your e-mail.
Hope to see you in-game!
Closed Beta Comes To An End...

Well, it was fun while it lasted.
Submitted about 20-something bugs (mostly typos and broken graphics) along with a few opinions (translation fixes, lulz).
I had a feeling that a lot of people would make Gunners, but I was surprised at the amount of Priests I saw walking around town (I thought they'd be less popular than Fighters)... Mages were the least popular class...
As for subclasses, the most popular for each base class seemed to be: Launchers/Spitfires for Gunners, Weapon Masters for Ghost Knights, and, uh, Scholars for Mages. (Dunno about Priests and Fighters; either I wasn't paying enough attention or they were probably below level 18. : /)
. . .
At least I have an idea of what to do as my characters level to 18 (Use a club! Save 100SP at level 10 for Backstep + Cancel! Get King's Road of this, etc.)... After the class change, everything gets a bit easier. Emphasis on "a bit." XD
(Psst! If you want to get the most out of your *pause* F-fatigue bar, I suggest getting a friend to run you through Master's Road of a dungeon, unlock King's Road, and finish your quests on that difficulty. If you prefer to solo, try to head to the boss' room using as little fatigue points as possible, then finish your quests on Master's or King's.)
Detailed post about our DFO plans will be posted once Open Beta comes out. Maybeee~
DFO CBT: Day Two
July 29, 2009 at 10:08 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
I FAIL. D:
Spent all of my Life Tokens Revival Coins trying to beat Tau King What's-his-face, uuuggghhh... ><
Submitted several bugs today though. Most are typos; seems that they translated all the text straight from Arad Senki. (Joshua even encountered the CAPTCHA-every-five-seconds thing. And apparently all of the game's tooltips are exactly 180px long. Still annoyed by the random broken words though.)
*sigh* I won't be able to play tomorrow; got work all day. >_o
(If you're wondering why I have so many strike-throughs: I don't like some of Nexon's translations. I'm just too used to what we call NPCs/items/skills over at kDnF. :O)
DFO CBT: Day One
July 28, 2009 at 09:59 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
*loads up DFO*
*stare at Character Creation screen*
Dammit, what should I name my Slayer Ghost Knight?! (I hate making up names... -.-)
*reads comic-esque intro for the Slayer Ghost Knight*
Nice to see it translated for once...
*TUTORIAL STUFFS, NO WAI!*
Ugh, these random line brakes are starting to bug me... (It occurs pretty much everywhere.) Not to mention that the Slayer Ghost Knight sounds like an old man wearing a gas mask... T_T
*proceeds to quest/dungeon crawl/find bugs/read General chat until server goes down*
...Dangit, I only made it to level 9 with about 3/4ths of my fatigue gauge stress bar left. (Here's a horrible screenshot to prove it! I needs Back Step-Cancel, ahhh~!) D:
At least I have enough pieces of red cubes for the Berserker class change tomorrow, lawls!
(Also, I'm trying to avoid the headache that is the current state of Nexon's DFO forums. -.-)
DFO Closed Beta: I'm In!
July 15, 2009 at 03:39 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
My God, there's like 200-something people reading/raging on Nexon's forums right now. :O
Well, I gotta add new sections to m' blog now. DFO's, like, my new MMO now. (My WoW account expired two months ago.) XD
EDIT: My brothers also got in, haha! What luck, considering that it seems that they chose random applicants...
And I'll be posting on their forums once in a while. It's too early to post builds and such, so I'm just giving out lil' tips here and there. ;P
ZOMG, Beta Testing!
June 22, 2009 at 09:39 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
Oh hey! My brothers and I have just signed up for the Closed Beta Testing for Dungeon Fighter Online, lulz.
Never signed up for one before... Hopefully my previous experience of the game will get me iiinnn... :X
Really curious as to which build the English version will be on... There are screenshots of female Gunners, but the Priest classes don't have their Awakenings yet, it seems. ._.
The translations for some of the classes disappoint me a bit. : / For example, we say "Ghost Knights," they say "Slayers". Spitfires awaken as a "Viper" instead of "General". And "Soul Bringer" is "Soul Bender," lolwut?
*...is slightly disturbed*
Uhhh, we're gonna stick to our "original dubs," thanks. Unless we talk to people who have never played Korean DnF before. Or something.
I should, like, post screenshots. Maybe. Ye-ah. (Still have to grind money to get new pants for my Battle Mage; she looks a bit odd at the moment, haha...ha.)
Dungeon and Fighter!
April 6, 2009 at 07:42 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online
Gosh, I need to play that game again. -.-
Good thing it's gonna be released in the US! Nexon has even put up a lil' teaser site. (Dubbed as "Dungeon Fighter Online." Kinda odd that a lot of free MMOs like to slap "Online" in their names, but whatever.) Heard it's gonna come out later this year, but I'm not too sure. My brothers and I predict that the the population of the different classes will be about the same, but eventually people will reroll as a Ranger. We'll see~.
I'm still excited though! I finally get to see actual translations for the abilities, mobs, and quests... Not to mention I might actually try PvP this time, haha.
For those interested in what the game is like, here's a decent (yet outdated) Wiki. Ooor, you can search up YouTube for gameplay videos. *shrugs*
. . .
Also, Arad Senki (the Japanese version of DnF) just released an anime about it a few days ago. It's so horrible, it's hilarious. Really! XD
