My brothers keep track of when I last played a video game.

They're aware of my huge backlog, and I tell them that I'm going to play Mass Effect until March I'll work on it. Eventually.

Finally got my drawing motivation back. Did more ink tests. Working on a new layout, trying to organize the site a lil' better.

I procrastinate here and there, of course.

I probably should get back to playing ME2. Last played it about two weeks ago, just got the new Normandy. I'll be uploading screenshots onto my Steam account. :P

Speaking of Mass Effect, here's a preview of what I'm currently working on:

I got some blue lead a few days ago! It's so easy to ink over it and it doesn't show up when you scan in greyscale...

I've been sketching with red pens for the past two years. (Mostly because I doodle during work... *cough*) Unfortunately, I'm a messy sketcher, so any lines I want to keep I'll go over them with black ink.

Digital inking? Ha, I simply don't have the motivation at the moment.

I've tried red lead before, but I didn't like 'em. Same with 2H pencils.

But blue lead... It's easy on the eyes, I guess. Hell, this is what I did as a "warm-up" ink:

The anatomy proportions are a little off (for Shakti), but it's nice to see "clean" lineart on paper for once. :3

I got sick over the weekend, but I'm feeling better!

Missed the Steam sale on the 24th, FFF... Wanted to get Borderlands and Overlord. Luckily, Borderlands was on sale again on the 26th, so we got that. :D

OMG, I haven't played a FPS in over three years, but bird-spec Hunter is so fun... GUYS, WE NEED TO DO AN ALL-BRICK PLAYTHROUGH SOMEDAY.

Joshua's WoW account expired, so we're all on hiatus (was leveling alts, mainly Paladin/Mage/Shaman). I need to get back to DnF... I managed to level my male Nen Master to 30 before the holidays. Yay, Tiger Flash!

Also, I have some arts!

I've re-uploaded a few pics where I, uh, filled in some missing colors. Take Shadow's tail for example from "Team D's Back"...

Jeez, I can't believe I'd missed a minor detail like that back then. Maybe I didn't pay attention at all. Or maybe I didn't care. :X

Ah, I didn't fix the shading or anything else though! So you get to see my old art in its horrible, original state. 8D

(BTW, the original sketches of these are about 2 months old. I've been drawing Shakti's ears like that lately...)

M'kay, so it's been a while since I've opened up Photoshop.

My lil' project of the day? To redesign the Rogue Zyraxi twins, Khaoj and Jahko. (Yeah, I'm renaming "Tunak" to "Khaoj". It's a nice pair of anagrams, no? :P In fact, I'm thinking of renaming a few of my other characters as well...)

Jahko's colors were pretty easy to figure out, but I had to experiment with Khaoj's (I-I'm not that good with reds and oranges, I guess). X_x;

Most of all, I wanted to get the markings down. See, they're both shapeshifters (though Jahko's a bit more flexible at it than Khaoj), so the markings stay the same between forms, more or less. (Khaoj being the slightly-more-experienced colorshifter, on the other hand, is another story.)

Pfft, it was never 'live to begin with. (Or rather, it died within a month.) : /

So yeah... I'm going to move the 3 (haha...ha) entries I had on my LJ onto here.

I wanted to post all of my sketches and WIPs on my LJ while having something "exclusive" for the Art category on this blog (Something like mini-comics, a doodle or two... AND MEMES. OH MANS, WHY HAVEN'T I DONE ANY YET~ D:< ).

Unfortunately, I haven't logged on since the beginning of April (not to mention I haven't been drawing a lot since then), so...

(I also tweaked the CSS of the site a bit. Mmm'yeah, that's about it.)

Oh hay! It's that one dragon... That I used to draw a lot... Yeah!

It's a work in progress, as you can see. ZOMG, you can see my horriblehorrible sketching style, aaiiieeee~! (The limbs look a little thin compared to the body. I'll fix that.)

I'ma re-do her character sheet again, lulz. Hopefully this will motivate me into making reference sheets for my other characters... >_>

Lineart

• Weighted lines. (Haven't done those in a while!) I-I should probably go back to digital inking... : /
• Color the lineart when an actual background is involved. Else, it stays black.

Coloring

• Shading needs to be darker. I've always been afraid of making my shadows too dark for some odd reason...
• Pupils are supposed to appear black, not a dark (enough) shade of the eye color!

I know I can add more to this, dangit...! D:<

Delete blog on main website. Make a "main" blog on LiveJournal and join WordPress to make a World of Warcraft blog.
