A Vampire by Day...

August 28, 2009 at 11:30 PM - Real Life

My manager once told me something along the lines of "the more you draw, the better you'll get at it."

...Drawing blood, of course. :P

Haven't drawn blood in over 2 months, so I was sent to a different clinic to find human pincushions get the hang of it again.

It's been about a year since I first learned how, but now I've drawn over 100 different patients. (And failed sticking so many more... Hey, I'm still learning!) XD

"Prinny, Dood!"

August 26, 2009 at 10:25 PM - Games, Miscellaneous

So, after playing BlazBlue for a while, we've decided to get a new game for the PS3: Disgaea 3.

(I... I played a ranked match for once! And got horribly owned by a Nu player. >_o *cough* Anyways...)

Looks like a grindfest, especially if you want to get the extra stuff done. ...I don't think I'll play often ever finish this game. X_x

What piqued our interest the most was the amount of familiar voice actors in the game... Mao is Vic Mignogna high on Red Bull. Beryl is Laura Bailey. Almaz is Johnny Young Bosch. (And so many more...)

Then came Chapter 5. Joshua was playing the map that had Gold Knuckle, and, when I heard his voice, I was like, "Was that Ragna..?" (Sh-shut up, blame my inner fangirl! D: )

. . .

Unfortunately, the internets could not confirm whether or not Patrick Seitz voiced Gold Knuckle. (He's got awesome dialogue, next to Prinny Mask and Baby Mao. XD)

So, I sent an e-mail to Patrick Seitz himself, asking if he voiced Gold Knuckle and if he knew who voiced Prinny Mask.

Apparently, he did the voices of both characters.

My God.

*imagines a scenario where someone calls Ragna an old man 'cause of his white hair*

"Whoa, whoa, whoa, Ragna is not an old man!"

I... Can not... Unhear it... O_o;

(By the way, we first had our strange obession on finding out character's voice actors when Naruto was released as a dub. I think. Still wondering who voices Nanako's doctor in Persona 4, hmmm...)

SP Shortage! D:

August 23, 2009 at 09:02 AM - Dungeon and Fighter

Low on SP, nooo~

Shakti, I thought you planned out your Berserker's build?

Yes, Shadow, I did. And I re-did it again a few days ago.

Then why does your current 'Zerker have no SP to spare for new abilities?

U-um, I leveled up some abilities that I later figured out that I shouldn't have (before I planned out)...

Comparing the two builds, your Level 40 Berserker has already wasted 265 SP. He can't even get Gore Cross or Frenzy at the moment...

Man, that's worse than my Battle Mage and Spitfire, who wasted around 70 SP each...

...Riiight. So, what are you going to do?

Make a new Berserker! 8D

*sigh*

A Second Glance

August 16, 2009 at 05:43 PM - Art, Site

I've re-uploaded a few pics where I, uh, filled in some missing colors. Take Shadow's tail for example from "Team D's Back"...

A small fix to an old pic.

Jeez, I can't believe I'd missed a minor detail like that back then. Maybe I didn't pay attention at all. Or maybe I didn't care. :X

Ah, I didn't fix the shading or anything else though! So you get to see my old art in its horrible, original state. 8D

Sooo, I'd like to laugh at myself for my silliness.

Hahaha. Durr.

(BTW, the original sketches of these are about 2 months old. I've been drawing Shakti's ears like that lately...)

Color Palettes, FFF~

August 11, 2009 at 09:25 PM - Art

M'kay, so it's been a while since I've opened up Photoshop.

My lil' project of the day? To redesign the Rogue Zyraxi twins, Khaoj and Jahko. (Yeah, I'm renaming "Tunak" to "Khaoj". It's a nice pair of anagrams, no? :P In fact, I'm thinking of renaming a few of my other characters as well...)

And here's the end result!

Color palettes for Khaoj and Jahko.

(THAT LINEART'S ALMOST A YEAR OLD, UGH. D:<)

Jahko's colors were pretty easy to figure out, but I had to experiment with Khaoj's (I-I'm not that good with reds and oranges, I guess). X_x;

Most of all, I wanted to get the markings down. See, they're both shapeshifters (though Jahko's a bit more flexible at it than Khaoj), so the markings stay the same between forms, more or less. (Khaoj being the slightly-more-experienced colorshifter, on the other hand, is another story.)

Hunters: I Can Haz Action Bar Space?

August 10, 2009 at 12:24 AM - World of Warcraft

And now for hunters! I hear a lot of people complain about the lack of bar space, especially for this class, so I tend to stick modifier macros where ever possible (and whenever the abilities "fit" together)!

If you don't know what a modifier macro is, here's a basic one.

#showtooltip
/cast [modifier:alt] Disengage; Wing Clip

This one will cast Wing Clip as its default, but, if I hold Alt, I can then cast Disengage! Neat, huh?

I also use modifier macros (using that exact layout) for Distracting Shot/Kill Shot, Flare/Volley, and Aspect of the Pack/Aspect of the Cheetah. :3 (You can do the same thing with traps, too... But I like seeing all my trap buttons, haha.)

And so, onto other hunter-y macros!

Druids: I Can Haz Action Bar Space?

August 7, 2009 at 12:43 AM - World of Warcraft

Yeah, I know I don't play WoW anymore, but I figured I should at least post some of the macros I've used for my characters... Starting with my druid!

The LiveJournal Is, Uh, Not-So-Live Anymore...

August 4, 2009 at 03:42 PM - Art, Site

Pfft, it was never 'live to begin with. (Or rather, it died within a month.) : /

So yeah... I'm going to move the 3 (haha...ha) entries I had on my LJ onto here.

I wanted to post all of my sketches and WIPs on my LJ while having something "exclusive" for the Art category on this blog (Something like mini-comics, a doodle or two... AND MEMES. OH MANS, WHY HAVEN'T I DONE ANY YET~ D:< ).

Unfortunately, I haven't logged on since the beginning of April (not to mention I haven't been drawing a lot since then), so...

(I also tweaked the CSS of the site a bit. Mmm'yeah, that's about it.)

Closed Beta Comes to an End...

August 3, 2009 at 07:37 PM - Dungeon Fighter Online

Well, it was fun while it lasted.

Submitted about 20-something bugs (mostly typos and broken graphics) along with a few opinions (translation fixes, lulz).

I had a feeling that a lot of people would make Gunners, but I was surprised at the amount of Priests I saw walking around town (I thought they'd be less popular than Fighters)... Mages were the least popular class...

As for subclasses, the most popular for each base class seemed to be: Launchers/Spitfires for Gunners, Weapon Masters for Ghost Knights, and, uh, Scholars for Mages. (Dunno about Priests and Fighters; either I wasn't paying enough attention or they were probably below level 18. : /)

. . .

At least I have an idea of what to do as my characters level to 18 (Use a club! Save 100SP at level 10 for Backstep + Cancel! Get King's Road of this, etc.)... After the class change, everything gets a bit easier. Emphasis on "a bit." XD

(Psst! If you want to get the most out of your *pause* F-fatigue bar, I suggest getting a friend to run you through Master's Road of a dungeon, unlock King's Road, and finish your quests on that difficulty. If you prefer to solo, try to head to the boss' room using as little fatigue points as possible, then finish your quests on Master's or King's.)

Detailed post about our DFO plans will be posted once Open Beta comes out. Maybeee~
